June has been such a crazy month for me.
From birthdays, to engagements, to the possibility of a new job. Ohhhh teaser.
Now I will distract you with these pretty prints from Prints & Printables. My favorite is the Pee Wee Herman and Tim’s is the Pulp Fiction print of course.

If you’ve followed for a while, you know I have a giant frame wall lurking on my to-do list. It has only been at the top of the list for about eight months. It is one of those tasks that I am terrified to start, because in my head it looks amazing but what if on the wall it just looks amazingly awful.
So I make excuses. We don’t have enough frames. The bathroom renovation will surely knock the frames off the wall. We have to cover the return vent first. I can’t find art I like. Yada, yada, yada.
The remedy: I have started making my own frame wall art. Well, little miss little miss little miss can’t be wrong. ‘Member that catchy little tune? How about Matchbox 20, do you remember them? Me too.
I still love that song. Sorry if it is stuck in your head now, but feel free to sing it all day. I know I will be.

Funny Karma Story: Yesterday I was talking to a friend about making mix tapes for an upcoming road trip. I told her I could listen to anything but Nickelback, because Nickelback makes me cringe. That same friend also gave me instructions last night on how to offer free downloads to readers (so go thank her). Which allowed me to share the print above, the one that has been on my computer since February. That same friend has also pointed out, this quote is not a Matchbox 20 song. It’s a Chad Kroger song….it’s a Nickelback song. Is this my life? Apparently, I don’t hate Nickelback as much as I thought since I am memorializing them all over my frame wall and the internet. Say a prayer for me, I’ve entered full on depression mode.
Oh the shame.

Tim and I are at a stand still.
We have been working on a frame wall for a couple weeks now, and one of our sweet readers (hi Janelle) sent us some inspiration shots including a happy little print from Urban Outfitters. I loved the print but I wanted to make it more sentimental by using one of our vacation photos as the backdrop.
Herein lies the problem….we can’t decide between two finalists.
Can you help?
We are going to print the winner in a gargantuan frame to showcase the “theme” of our frame wall. If you haven’t guessed, the theme is adventure.
I can’t wait to get it done and show you more.
Both of those photos hold very special meaning to us, because they were two of our favorite places we have ever been. Tim’s was taken in Camden, Maine and mine was taken in the mountains of Vermont.
Which would you choose?
I told Tim I would go with his if we could do colorful letters. Oh I should mention that we are open to suggestions. Just don’t be mean, if you hate it all then move along….or find me the Urban Outfitters print please and thanks.

This weekend we took advantage of our free time and did some decorating.
Just a heads up…we can never get the lighting quite right on mantle shots. That has nothing to do with the giant fish tank sitting right across from it, or the fact that it gets zilch in the form of natural light. Did I say nothing? I meant everything….it’s my “problem child” as far as photos go.
I have always been a big fan of the free printable, but rarely do you find exactly what you are looking for. So this year, I got brave.
I made my own.
If you hate them and think they’re hideous, well it was my first try.
But if you actually like them….then you can have them.

Smack dab in the middle of our mile long to-do list…is a frame wall.
You know floor to ceiling frames covering the wall full of pretty prints, lovely photos, and sentimental art. Apparently that takes patience.
Frames are not cheap, but we started collecting on our recent trip to Ikea.
Now comes the patience part….filling the frames.
Sure I could just find pictures and throw them in frames, but I really want our frame wall to sum us up and make us smile. When people walk into our home I want them to look at our frame wall and say, “now I understand”. Ok not really.
You know what makes me smile….our road trip.
Yea, I’ll make a road trip tribute. If only it played 80’s cover music.
One frame down…seventy more to go.
