Lately though, she has been “out of town” an awful lot and I think it may have something to do with our recent renovations. You see we kind of tore out her secret hideaway to make room for a new shower bench, I know…bad roomates. I told her that when she gets back we will have a “move that bus” moment just for her. Hope we don’t disappoint.
So not too long ago, we decided to put some parallel lines in our life.
Since we spiced up our livingroom I have laid on the couch dreaming of more stripes….stripes everywhere.
I finally convinced T that our wall of stripes needed a little sister.
You know what fixes boring.
So after a little striping action thanks to my boyfran-man, we were left with a whole new nook. A not-so-boring nook.
Enter freshity fresh new nook rising from the rafters or something. I once again have to apologize for Winter…she is doing nothing for my lighting in photos so say hello to shadows and glares. Oh and those mismatched knobs that are still stealing the show….well they are on their way out too.
One of my goals for 2013 is to take a photo-styling course. I promise I will get better at this friends, I promise. Pinky.
Are you as down with stripes as I am? I am now thinking our bedroom needs some vertical action. Stripes are going to be taking over in these parts.
You know those people who only buy things that are functional?
I am not one of them.
Sure it is completely useless and just for decoration, until a little one comes over and their face lights up. Then this little door is magic.
We went to our local craft store and picked up a dollhouse door and some hardware, painted it to match our front door, and let her move on in.
Gotta love that she got all festive and threw out her pumpkins….but where’s the candy?
Can you imagine the possibilities? Kate adds milk bottles, mail, rain boots and all sorts of mini-sized goodies typically made for doll houses.
I smile every time I walk by, and it has become a little game with T and I to see what Beatrice is up to.
