I try really hard not to wish my life away…but what is the hold up on March?
March is one of my favorite months. Tulips start blooming, birds start singing and there is this one little holiday. My favorite holiday. Yes I was totally the girl who would pinch everyone for not wearing green. Sorry for annoying you back in the day friends, but I hope you learned your lesson.
Did you know my last name is Bailey, like the Irish Creme. That was my tagline in college so people could remember me when they Facebook stalked later.
Oh St. Pattys, I am waiting patiently.
Until then, I will just make lots of pretty green things.
I want to see green and gold in every corner of my home this time of year.
This was an inexpensive and fairly easy DIY.
The best part is the endless color combinations…I am thinking I need a yarn wreath in every color. Ohhhh now I am seeing a whole wall of colorful wreaths.
If only I had the patience.
I went to Hobby Lobby the other day to catch a sale on yarn and fabric. I also had a 40% off coupon so the whole project cost under $10. Have you looked at wreaths online lately? They are not cheap people.
I will give you advance warning, make sure you have a good movie queued up when you start. Wrapping the yarn took me about an hour and a half, so thankfully I got all caught up on the Gypsy Sister drama. Holler.
Can you guess what I used for the white fabric?
They are some tee shirts that T was about to throw out. Score!
If you don’t already have a fabric flower tutorial pinned, make sure you check out Katie Bower’s of Bower Power Blog. It is the best I have seen, and there is a video. You’ll be a flower making professional in no time.
Are you overly excited to go green?
Will you be drinking green beer?
Any parades in your future?
Did you know Rolla, Missouri has one of the biggest Pats celebrations?

I’m in love with your wreath! I wonder if my baby would let me have an hour and a half to make it… Probably not! Ill just have to pull the picture of yours up on my phone to admire!
Hahahaha…just strap her to the front of ya and give her her own ball of yarn to play with! Are you all doing anything fun for the best holiday ever?
I think it’s probably very wrong for me, as a redhead, to admit that I’m not a St Patty’s Day fanatic. Maybe this year will be the year I get into it! Keep the suggestions coming!
Oh get ready for GREEN overload! I will make you a Patty’s fan yet 🙂
Bring it!
I love this! I’m with you on the St. Pat’s love–it’s pretty much the best ever…who doesn’t love green beverages?! 😉 This wreath is awesome and definitely looks like something I’d see on Pinterest. Those pins are too cute too…are they from Hobby Lobby too? I really like this kind of stuff so hopefully you do more posts like this in the future 🙂
Awwww thanks Lydia! Yea, I bought the pins from Hobby Lobby (just a multi-color pack) and I hope to post many more projects like this….if I only had more hours in the day to craft 🙂
So cute! I am a married in Irish Girl (Kelly) so this is the one holiday the hubby is all about me creating fun crafty projects for. Such a cute wreathe, and you are right, they are OUTRAGEOUS pre-done.
Seriously….I dropped my jaw when I looked at some on Etsy. You ladies are crazy 🙂
Maybe we need to get into the wreath making business girl!!!!
Kansas City (where I live) is CRAZY on St. Pat’s! Biggest parade in the midwest, all through downtown. Streets closed off, bars serving green beer. It’s nuts. You’d be in heaven.
You’re darn tootin I’d be in heaven! I was at Disney two years ago and that was a blast!!! Most years I go either down to the StL parade or Rolla….it’s so much fun!!!
Looks like next year I need to plan a trip to KC! I love that town anyways, that’s where we did the Color Run last year! But WHY WHY WHY did the dog races close? And Saddle Ranch, why did that close too!!! Ohhh KC Power and Light…you are making me want to pack my bags right now! I’ll be out your way for the Cards -v- Royals game this year!
Hope you are staying warm 🙂
You DO need to come here! & holler at me when you do! I’ve lived here my whole life & know all the good places (& I’m a creative writer at Hallmark & can get you the insiders’ tour!).
I know all the good thrift stores too–we just got a GW Outlet! I’m in love! Do you go to the one in St. Louis?
I was at the Color Run too!
