It’s finally Friday…hopefully this weekend all of our projects won’t get rained out.

If they do, then I will be spending my day browsing Arcadia Graphic’s Etsy shop.  These prints and posters are sure to leave a smile on your face.  As I scrolled through her shop the prints just kept getting better and better.  If you can read these and not crack a smile, well then I am impressed. arcadia graphic My favorite is probably the Llama, but it is hard to choose just one!  I think the tent would be perfect on our “adventure” frame wall.  If I ever actually get to it.

In other blog greatness… caitlin wilson Clearly I love all things nautical but Caitlin Wilson just sends me overboard with all of her gorgeous textiles.  I love the bright colors, I adore all the anchors, I need it all. all that glitters Speaking of sea loves…someone convince me that this girl is not a mermaid.  I need a gold dress and a beach astat, and maybe liposuction or something.  I just think this is one of those dreamy pictures that I wish I was in. lovely indeed Timothy loves The Princess Bride, and the first time he forced me to watch it he kept repeating this line.  I knew as soon as I showed it to him he would want it printed and on the wall immediately, I was correct.  You can print yours too by visiting Lovely Indeed.  That girl always has cute freebies. vitamini handmade Who knew a fan could capture my heart.  It is just so sweet and vintage looking and makes me want to go spray paint crazy.

What “good things” did you find this week?
Have you seen The Princess Bride?

Today is the last day to enter the giveaway!

Just call us bumble bees because it has been a buzzzzy week.  Too much?

I feel like I haven’t even had a chance to breathe this week, let alone get packed and ready for the Maiedae Mixer with Trisha.  Seriously, what am I wearing?  Where is my camera charger?  And how do I get to Rome, GA?

While my head is buzzing with last-minute details, I am taking a couple of moments to decompress and focus on all of my favorite things from this week.

Normally, my favorite Etsy stores are hand drawn quotes or whimsical characters.  This week though, Pastel Fabels quickly caught my eye with one of those sweet and quirky quotes but Jessica’s photography is what really got my heart racing.  I’m not much of a cat person, but her photos have me dreaming of snuggling those fuzzy purr makers. pastel fables Make sure you visit her site to see the quirky diorama photography.  I want one, I need one, oh baby, oh baby.  In other swoon-worthy news. oh happy day I want to be friends with Jordan, simply because she thought of shrinky dinking photos.  I am absolutely jumping on this train and will be “surprising” Tim with little Christinas in the most unexpected places.  All aboard. bower power Does this even need a pithy explanation?  We love fish, so we love this tablescape.  Easy as pie, oh yum hope it’s blueberry. sawdust and embryos This is the star of my world right now.  Beth took a bunch of jars, dyed them, broke them, and turned them into this b-e-a-u-tiful backsplash.  She is pretty much a backsplash boss, but this is just impressive.  So creative, so labor-intensive, so gorgeous.  Excuse me while I wipe up my drool.

What are you drooling over lately?
Anyone else going to the Maiedae Mixer?
Who is making me a blueberry pie?

Can I get a Huuuu Haaa Two Times Friday.
Or something like that.

I hope you all are getting a three day weekend, or at least chocolate.

Tim and I are taking a mini road trip and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.  Oh the anticipation.  For know I will just show you some Etsy goodness.

Meet Livy Love Designs, also know as adorable art. livylovedesigns etsy shop prints I have big dreams of symmetrical frames lining a wall, so I live those dreams on the blog.  Obviously.

In other blog news…. lovelyindeed Lovely Indeed shared some of her favorite blog resources.  I like to think I am up on my game, but I honestly had never heard of any of these.  Nowadays, I spend way too much time “learning” and drooling over beautiful design and classes I can’t afford. knack studios I am obsessed with this whole concept.  I saw this book art while peeping in on Knack Studios revamped dresser.  The dresser is pretty and all but those books are show-stopping.  I feel like I can totally pull it off with enough hot glue. centsational girl We have a hard time with our backyard.  We have a pool, so most of the “yard” is actually concrete.  I loved seeing Kate makeover this backyard in just one day.  Now who wants to build us a pergola.  Bueller, Bueller. ohhappyday I love new beginnings, and since Tim works in real estate we get to help a lot of friends buy their first home.  I always get a little too excited about it and now I found the perfect gift to help show them without jumping and squealing.  Jordan sure knows how to make someone’s day.

Have you found anything amazing lately?
Got any trips planned for the weekend?
Ever made monkey bread?  I am craving.

PS….we are having a few technical difficulties with some slimy hackers.  Sorry if we are running a little slow or you are getting errors, we are working out the kinks as we speak you read.

It is Friday….that should make you smile.

If that doesn’t make you smile this will. WATER IN MY PAINT It is like quirky cuteness overload.  Deidre’s Etsy shop Water in My Paint is pretty much the funniest animal art I have ever fawned over.  It’s like a little critter line-up and I need those fuzzy faces all over our house.

Which one is your favorite?

Speaking of favorites, here are some gems I found whilst roaming around blogtown. DOS FAMILY We have a million stools hanging around the house.  I love that Dos Family took something normally boring and basic and made it so fun and feisty.  I am all about that map stool, I mean does it get any better?  I am not sure how well it would hold up to our wear & tear, not to mention saltwater splatter. BEAUTIFULMESS I have developed a serious crush on attic bedrooms.  If I could find a way to make some stairs work, this would be on our project list.  I love how open and airy they are, and I also imagine sleeping would be breezy in such a sanctuary.  Janae from Itsy Bitsy House’s attic was featured on A Beautiful Mess and I almost fell out of my chair lusting after all the beautiful details.

Where do you find all these thrift shops with hidden treasures.  All the thrift shops I go to are full of ceramic ducks and plastic tumblers. HOUSE TWEAKING I know, I know, you would have never guessed that this was a laundry nook.  The award for most beautifully hidden washer & dryer goes to Dana from House Tweaking without a doubt.  That girl has mad styling skills. GLUEGUNGIRL Oh how I miss the days of pen pals and hand-lettering.  I hope it makes a comeback once all our thumbs get carpal tunnel from texting.  The Glue Gun girl gives us a tour of the prettiest papers to spice up your mailman’s life.  They are so adorable I want to send myself mail.

Did you find anything great this week?

So yesterday, my family and I up and drove to Louisville, KY.

For Christmas I bought them all tickets to see Fleetwood Mac (if you have no clue who they are shame on you for making me feel old).  I fell in love with Louisville when we drove through on our East Coast Road Trip, and it is even better come Derby time.  I am so jealous of all you lucky souls who get to call this city home!

Now we are back on the road and I wanted to share some of my favorite things from this week, besides rocking out and pretending I am a gypsy.

I found this amazing print while scoping out the Etsy scene and knew this was my kind of store, obviously.

Then I was even more enamoured when I found all this goodness.  I introduce Ello Lovey. ello lovely I absolutely love the quirky quotes because they are not your typical “you had me at hello” and “you make me happy”.  The cute fonts and bright colors really did have me at hello though.  You should pop over there because Rhianna is sweet enough to offer all of us 15% off when you use the code:  HOMEMADE.  So go get you some!

I bookmarked a whole lot of awesomeness this week but the funny thing is that most of them were from one or two blogs.  Can I help it if some bloggers have endless creativity?  The answer is no, but I wish I could harness all of that creativity and use it to end world hunger and stuff.  Donate your creativity here please and thank you. design sponge again I love a dang tee shirt.  They are so comfy and give you so much outfit opportunity.  You can dress them up with some layered jewelry and heels or dress it way down with some sweats, what other clothing gives you that kind of options.  The folks at Design Sponge are always impressing me, and by putting a little bit of unexpected on your favorite outfit staple they have gone above and beyond.  This project makes me want to jump into embroidery head first hoop first. design sponge I have recently discovered that my thumb may have a hint of green to it.  That being said I have been eyeing all kinds of flowers, vases, gardens, and pots.  So when I ran across this sweet little flower-pot I couldn’t help but feel happy all over.  Not to mention that copper repels slugs, so it is good for your little greenery!  Don’t mind me, I am moving from gold to copper these days and I may be too excited about it. design mom Anyone who knows me knows I love quotes.  I put them on everything, so when Design Mom prettied up some tea towels with quotes from her favorite TV program my heart may have stopped for a second.  I have a minor tea towel obsession, and I feel like this will be a great project once I grow tired of my current set.  Maybe I’ll even get real classy with some Si Robertson quotes.

What fun did you find this week?
Any fun weekend plans?
Can you guess what show the tea towels are quoting?

It is Friday, we should hug.  Another week bites the dust and we couldn’t be more ready for the weekend.  Hopefully every one will have beautiful sunshine and a pool boy to bring you lemonade.  I am still working on that last part.

I found the cutest Etsy shop yesterday and I just have to share it with you.  I wish I could have included more of the awesome art from Parada Creations but she just has so many options.  Here are some of my favorites, with lots of words to live by.  Those dishes can wait, amen. parada creations I think you can find anything your are looking for at Parada Creations, except maybe that pool boy.  There are woodsy prints, colorful prints, typographic prints, prints for kids, abstract prints, funny prints, zodiac prints…and I think you get the picture.  Somehow, even with all of those options Susana remains true to her style.  You must check it out, that’s an order.

In other bloggity news, I found a ton of inspiration and had quite a few laughs this week….and I am willing to share. studio diy Who wants to let me throw them a party, because I am dying to make these hats.  Kelly from Studio DIY took some gorgeous ranunculus blooms and made them into the coolest party hats I’ve ever seen. eating bird food Please tell me I am not the only one that scarfed down my Girl Scout cookies and then felt insanely guilty about it.  Well Brittany from Eating Bird Food is here to solve all of our problems, she is showing us not only how to restock on my favorite cookie….but also how to make them a little less guilt-inducing.  She calls them Sinless Samoas and I can’t wait to get them in my belly. because i am addicted I didn’t even know that flower farms existed until I came across this post on Because I’m Addicted.  I want to get lost in the miles and miles of color and wonder that these fields promise.  And please, just for a minute think about how fantastic that would smell.  Take me there, now. i wore yoga pant to work Remember these hot thangs…Whitney from I Wore Yoga Pants To Work is cracking me up with her Spice Girls Life Lessons and taking me back to my puka shell necklace days.  Bring me that L.A. Gel I need to scrunch my hair.  She also broke the news that Bradley Cooper has a jerry curl – say what – yes it’s true and yes it’s as bad as it sounds.  You need a laugh?  Then mosey on over and crawl in Whitney’s lap….she will have you in stitches in no time.

Did you find anything good this week?  Are you sipping lemonade with the pool-boy?  Can I borrow your pool-boy?
