Backyard Patio Paradise....a moodboard

Posted by Christina // 7 Replies

The weather has finally decided to cooperate with my desire to be outside.
Bout time Ma Nature, bout time.

We’ve taken full advantage of this blip of sunshine by working on the backyard & patio every chance we get.  Clearly that means I’m daydreaming of decking it out in color while Tim struggles to yank weeds out.

We already have big plans for our exterior including a new paint job and a pretty pergola, but I think the details are the best part of any makeover.  To convince Tim I had to make a moodboard, see Tim. backyard moodboard

The details are always the best.  They are the creme-filling to a delectable donut.  The sun-drying to fresh crisp sheets.  The waffle to your fries.  (I thought of a million of those and they were all somehow food related…hmmmm).

Do you have a backyard paradise?

Totally agree with Trisha on my favorite things from your moodboard. Get em, girl! My dream back yard has a bazillion little lights, a cute and modern wooden table with comfy chairs, a firepit, and a hot shirtless gardenMAN to tend to the yard so I never have to break a sweat pulling weeds again.

Hahaha…I need a garden man too! That way I never have to see a worm again 🙂

We have big dreams of a fire pit also…hopefully that will be done sooner rather than later!

Love your inspiration board! It’s dreamy! I wish I had a backyard to decorate–we live in an apartment. We have a tiny little porch we are working on right now, but it gets tight when we have to store stuff and manage to somehow make it look pretty. Have fun decorating! PS. I’m your newest follower 🙂

Ohhhhh YAY! So glad you found us 🙂

Yea, I did the apartment thing for a while so I understand. What I want to know is WHERE all these apartments are that you see online with the gorgeous high ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, spacious bathrooms and heavenly porches. Because they surely are not in Missouri hahah! I could barely fit a rocking chair on my apartments porch!!!
