Friday Favorites - three eight

It’s Friday, Friday, Friday….remember her?

Hope you all had a fantastic week and have an even better weekend ahead of you. If you are in Vegas this weekend look out for my shenanigans, as I will be tearing up the city for my sister’s 21st birthday. Make sure you all keep my boyfran man company here as he will be enjoying the bachelor life and praying I don’t blow all my money on the craps table.

But for now….bask in the glory of my new favorite Etsy Shop. How adorable are those prints. I am head over heels for the fresh colors and whimsy that Katie brings to all of her work. It was hard to choose which prints I liked best because she has tons of them. There are also lots of “State prints” although a certain show-me state was missing. Which one is your favorite?

Statement walls have become all the rage lately. I have yet to see one that I love more than this one… Elsie from a Beautiful Mess spent three days laboring over that beauty, and it already has me feeling totally inspired. I need a wall in my house covered in sentiments. I think I will choose a smaller wall though.

Speaking of Elsie, she was really on a roll this week. Check out these pretty mismatched napkins, and dream about all the styling possibilities. Dinner parties scattered with patterns and bold colors and sweet quotes. If I wasn’t going out of town this weekend I’d be learning to sew so I could make my own set.

I have tried to eat a little cleaner these days. I have not gone all the way to the Paleo side of things….just trying to cut out frozen dinners and refined ingredients. Maybe live a little longer. How delish does that look? I am craving eggs all the time now, so I want to learn lots of ways to prepare them. Smitten Kitchen has the best photos and great tutorials that don’t seem so intimidating.

I love birthdays. I love sending cards. I just never remember. Next time I do…. Miranda gives you a step-by-step coaching session on folding a bill into a shirt. Which could come in handy while in Vegas so I have been practicing like crazy.

Just in case you weren’t aware.

Let’s celebrate shall we?

I’ll get the Rubens and long as you make me this cake. You had better believe I am taking the first of the month to scope out all the cute St. Patty’s crafts going on. I love inspiration you know.

Seriously, who is making me that cake.
I don’t even care that I would have a green tongue.

Speaking of colored tongues. Ok how awesome would it be to wake up to rainbow pancakes? Hint Hint Tim.

What is it about this holiday that makes me hungry.

I wonder if Timbo would get down with a scavenger hunt, I’m putting this on my to-do list. Especially since all the clues are already made thanks to Alison. Speaking of my boyfran-man…I figure I can make him a little sumthin sumthin.

I love making holidays special, for everyone. I know leaving these little babies around for all the people I like would make St. Pattys more fun for everyone. Have you found any adorable green goodness that I should know about?

Friday Favorites....two two two

Funny little story about the word two. Or too, or to.
Or tew.

When T and I started dating we used to bond over our friends incorrect usage of the word to. We ended up making up our own word that applies to all forms of the word to. We now use “tew” for everything and my phone even auto-corrects the normal versions of to, too, and two to tew. Way too many tew’s. So if you ever get a text or email from me, please don’t think I am totally out of my mind. My phone just gets me, and all my inside jokes.

Now onto the fun stuff….like my newest obsession. I don’t need to explain why I am head over eels-pun intended-in love with these beautiful dishes? No, I didn’t think so. The pottery over at Cephalopod Ink is bright & fun and of course showcase all the lovelies in the sea.

Speaking of lovely sealife….check out these little cuties. Design Sponge took a little collection of clam shells and made them adorable reminders of seaside days by turning them into candles. Putting this on my to-do list for sure, I got a sweet little Maine clam shell that needs some jazzing up. Okay, this week is very fishy….but I mean what do you really expect.

The nautical kids room featured in House Beautiful is beyond cute. The colors they used not your typical nautical style, but I think it is fresh and perfect for chitlins bright personalities. But white carpet? Who are we kidding here?

I wish my bunk beds would have been that cool when I was growing up. You already know we love our animals, but now Bonnie from Going Home to Roost showed me how to kick the love into overdrive with a bunch of custom pet portraits. I see stuffed puppies in our couches future.

We did it.
Huge sigh of relief.
We made it through another week.

Here are some pretty things to kick your weekend off. Aren’t those prints just precious….I love them all and even more at the Vapor Qualquer Etsy store. And the girls got deals. Just in time for you to be all romantic, Design Mom is telling you everything you need to know about finding the perfect fragrance for you.

This week is a little scarce, but stay tuned because later today I have an incredible video to share with you. See I wasn’t just lazy. Can you tell I am in Valentine’s mode? These adorable pillowcase are the cutest (and easiest) DIY project I have seen lately.

Friday Favorites....one two fiver

You should know by now that anything I see even remotely nautical makes my heart go pitter patter. Gimmie a lobster and I am done for.

So imagine my surprise and delight when this…. turned into this…. How gorgeous are all of those pillows. Jolie Marche has like…every animal you can imagine plastered all over beautiful pillows. I can just imagine our bedroom now, overflowing with these pillows. I might even jump on one of them and sing, “Under the Sea”. Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter take it from me. I dare you not to have that song stuck in your head now. Holy ahmazing. Elsie made a repeating pattern of her favorite instagram photos and plastered them all over her office walls. What a beautiful tribute to the everyday lovely. I love it….I love it a lot.

Seems like everyone is jumping on the juicing train…I’m all about it so chooo choooo. I really want to start adding more veggies than fruit, since the last thing I need is more sugar in my system. Here are some great tips and the prettiest pictures, time to start hoarding jars. Ohhhh Emma, you make everything look so easy. Taking an old hoodie and making it sassy and fresh by replacing the tattered front with some dainty lace. You had me at sassy.

Friday Favorites - november three oh

Did you catch this picture on our facebook page a few days ago?

While sending Tim pictures of all the books I want for Christmas, I stumbled upon “Artful Blogging” magazine. I want to be artful…and I want to blog. Before I knew it I was snuggled up with my peppermint hot chocolate flipping through the pages. Oh la la the inspiration.

I want to learn to take photos like this. Anyone taken a good photography or styling course? Give me the details…I need to be better.

Now it is time for the very best of my blogosphere this week.

When T and I do decide to settle down and shoot out some chitlins…I am totally making this advent tree I found on A Beautiful Mess. Each day they pick a little present. Totally adorable and totally doable.

My girl Mrs. Lilien made me laugh so hard when I saw this post. That girl has some killer graphics. I can’t wait to start wrapping so that I can “wrap” and feel oh so gangster. Happy Holladays!

My new favorite color combo….turquoise, yellow and brown. Nobody does it better than over on Apartment Therapy. Now I need some pretty feathers.
